Samadhan Shivir: Nuh district has most pending plaints in state

With 12 per cent complaints pending, Nuh district has most grievances — which were received at Samadhan Shivir — unaddressed in the state. Rewari is in second position with 10.5 per cent backlog and Gurugram at third spot with 9.6 per cent complaints pending.

Kaithal district has topped the chart with only 0.56 per cent backlog when it comes to resolving people’s complaints received at Samadhan Shivir, a programme launched by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

Panipat district is in top position in the state for receiving the maximum complaints.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had launched the Samadhan Shivir programme during his first tenure in June last year.

After the Assembly polls in October, the Chief Minister relaunched the programme. Earlier, Samadhan Shivirs was organised on all working days in a week. After the number of complaints started coming down gradually, the Chief Minister fixed two days – Monday and Thursday — for organising the programme in the state.

The CM himself monitors Samadhan Shivir regularly. He reviewed the progress with the Deputy Commissioners through video-conferencing last Friday.

According to the data on the Samadhan Prakosth up to August 8, a total of 1,32,417 complaints were received at Samadhan Shivirs in the state. Of these 1,13,625 or 85.81 per cent complaints were resolved, 6,968 complaints or 5.26 per cent were pending and 11,824 complaints or 8.93 per cent had been rejected.

With 8.2 per cent complaints pending, Faridabad is on fourth position followed by Sirsa 7.8 per cent, 7.32 per cent in Bhiwani, 6.7 per cent in Palwal, 6.26 per cent in Yamunanagar and 6.2 per cent in Fatehabad, 5.82 per cent in Charkhi Dadri, 5.5 per cent in Sonepat, 5 per cent in Rewari and Hisar, 4.78 per cent in Jhajjar, 4.5 per cent in Kurukshetra, 4.23 per cent in Mahendergarh, 4 per cent in Panipat, 3.6 per cent in Ambala, 3 per cent in Panchkula, 2.4 per cent in Karnal, 2.2 per cent in Jind and Kaithal has only 0.56 per cent pending complaints.

Deputy Commissioner Virender Kumar Dahiya said 20,951 complaints had been received, of which 8,724 were resolved, amd 1,633 complaints had been cancelled with the strong reasons while 504 complaints were reopened and work on 338 complaints was underway. The DC directed the officials to resolve the people’s grievances on priority.
