Sarasvati Mahotsav from Feb 11

The Haryana Sarasvati Heritage Development Board (HSHDB) will organise a four-day Sarasvati Mahotsav on from February 11 to 14.
Dhuman Singh, vice chairman of HSHDB, said inaugural ceremony of the Mahotsav will be held at Adi Badri, Yamunanagar on February 11, a conference on Sarasvati river will be held at Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU) Rothak on February 12, various events will be organised on February 13 in Yamunanagar and Kurukshetra, and the closing ceremony will be held on February 14 at Sarasvati Tirtha in Pehowa of Kurukshetra.
He said various cultural events would be organised during the Mahotsav. On the concluding day, about 5,000 earthen lamps will be lit at Sarasvati Kund and also at ghats located in the villages along the river.
