Saraswati mill begins production of invert liquid sugar
Saraswati Sugar Mills (SSM) has set a new record in the sugar industry by starting the production of invert liquid sugar.
Chief executive of the SSM SK Sachdeva and a member of the management Naina Puri inaugurated the production of the invert liquid sugar.
Saraswati mill, one of the largest sugar mills of the country, is the first mill in Haryana and Punjab, where the production of liquid sugar has started.
Sachdeva said that a new plant for the production of invert liquid sugar was set up by the Indian Sugar and General Engineering Corporation (ISGEC) in a very short time and about Rs 3 crore had been spent on the project.
“This is an important step in the expansion of the sugar industry. With the establishment of the new plant, invert liquid sugar will also be produced along with the existing refined sugar production, which will be available to consumers in different types of packaging such as bottles, containers and drums,” said Sachdeva.
He said the consumers would not need to make a sugar solution to use it.
DP Singh, senior vice-president (cane) of the SSM said the invert liquid sugar produced by Saraswati mill would be packed as per the convenience of the consumers.
“Its quality will be as per the Food Safety and Standards Act,” said DP Singh.
He said the SSM had recently been honoured with the prestigious ‘Excellence Award for producing the best quality refined sugar’ by the Sugar Technologists Association of India at the 34th session of International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis (ICUMSA) in New Delhi.
On the occasion Satyavir Singh, Sudhir Chandna, Rajiv Mishra, Sanjay Jain, YP Singh, Deepak Kumar Miglani, Kamal Kumar Kapoor and Sameer Arya were present.
