Says India to export surplus power by 2047
Union Urban Development and Energy Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced that India aimed to become
self-reliant in power generation and would export surplus electricity by 2047.
Speaking at the inauguration of Gokul Bhawan, a dharmshala built by former BJP MLA Narender Gupta in Hathin, Khattar emphasised the government’s dedication to achieving self-reliance in energy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“By 2047, India will supply electricity to other countries,” he said. Khattar lauded Modi’s leadership, saying, “The country is on the fast track of development.” Stressing energy conservation, Khattar said, “Power saved is power generated.”
