SC: Remove all structures on Aravali forest land near Khori

All illegal structures belonging to the poor or the rich built on the Aravali forest land near Khori village in Faridabad should be removed, the Supreme Court said on Friday as it once again refused to stay the eviction drive.
A Bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar granted four more weeks to the Faridabad MC to complete the “humongous task” after the civic body said that unauthorised structures on nearly half of the total 150 acres had already been cleared. It also brushed aside the concerns raised by the UN regarding people being evicted, saying “UN should have read our previous orders”. — TNS
