Scheduled Castes panel hears 44 cases in Jhajjar

The Haryana State Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman, Dr Ravindra Baliala, has told police officials to present challan in court in the cases registered under the SC-ST Act while taking prompt and impartial action.

The objective of the Commission was to ensure equal opportunity to all sections of society while ensuring welfare and development of the Scheduled Castes.

Baliala was hearing cases registered under the SC-ST Act in the district at Samvad Bhawan in Mini Secretariat here on Monday. The Commission’s Vice Chairman Vijendra Badgujar and members Rattan Lal Bamnia, Meena Narwal and Para Ram were also present on the occasion.

Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya, DCP Deepak Saharan and other administrative and police officials were present on behalf of the district administration.

A total of 44 cases related to the SC-ST Act were listed by the Commission at the meeting. After the hearing, Baliala directed the officials concerned to ensure quick and fair redressal of the complaints.

“The Commission is going to the districts and hearing the cases related to the SC-ST Act to ensure prompt action in the cases so that the victim does not face any delay in getting justice,” said the Chairman
