Kurukshetra, August 10
Aimed at empowering young women from economically weaker sections (EWS) in the Kurukshetra Parliamentary Constituency, former minister Savitri Jindal launched the Naveen Jindal Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme on Saturday.
Under this scheme girls belonging to families with an annual income of less than Rs 1.80 lakh will be eligible to avail scholarships after completing Class X and XII to support their educational and vocational aspirations.
Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal said, “Educating daughters is paramount to the progress of our nation.”
MP Jindal also inaugurated two ambulances as part of the ‘Healthy Kurukshetra’ initiative. These ambulances, are dedicated to enhancing healthcare services in the villages within the Kurukshetra Parliamentary Constituency.— TNS
