School education board all set to conduct teacher eligibility test across state

The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH), Bhiwani, is all set to conduct the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) on July 30 and 31. Over four lakh candidates are expected to appear for the exam across 673 centres in the state.

The chairperson of the BSEH, Dr Pawan Kumar, said while addressing a press conference in Bhiwani today said all preparations have been completed by the board to ensure smooth and cheating-free examination. He informed that each centre would host 312 candidates.

The chairperson said to maintain the integrity of the exam, 220 flying squads have been deployed and a full-time observer has been appointed at every centre, comprising one district administration officer and one official and representative from the education board.

Kumar stated that the examination process wasdesigned to be transparent and secure as all centres would be monitored live from a high-tech command and control centre using AI-enabled CCTV surveillance, ensuring real-time observation and quick detection of any suspicious activity.

He said the official staff deployed at the exam centres would ensure frisking using metal detectors and biometric verification of candidates would be done before entry into the exam centres to prevent the carrying of any prohibited materials.

The Level-3 (PGT) exam will be held from 3pm to 5:30 pm across 299 centres on July 30. The next day (July 31), the Level-2 (TGT) exam will take place from 10 am to 12:30 pm at all 673 centres, while the Level-1 (PRT) exam will be held from 3pm to 5:30 pm at 280 centres.

Security arrangements around examination centres would be enforced by the police authorities, he said adding that the candidate or staff member found involved in malpractice or irregularities would face strict legal action.
