Karnal: The district yoga championship, held at Nishan Public School, witnessed remarkable participation from students across various schools. Fourteen students from Dyal Singh Public School, Sector 7, Karnal, showcased their yoga skills in a highly competitive environment. The event concluded with an impressive tally of five participation certificates and nine medals for the school students. Nayra (Class IV) bagged the gold medal, demonstrating exceptional prowess. Sachpreet and Aarna of class IV secured silver and bronze medal, respectively. Lavansh of Class V also made a mark by winning the bronze medal. Other noteworthy performances include Tiya (Class VII) and Tejas (Class VIII), who secured gold medals in their respective categories. Vanshika Sehgal won silver medal, Vanshika Mann and Dhriti bagged bronze medals. Five students received participation certificates for their commendable efforts. The winners have qualified for the state-level competition to be held in Fatehabad.

Seminar on KAPS exam held at college

Sirsa: A seminar was organised for BPharmacy students regarding the Knowledge Assessment of Pharmaceutical Sciences (KAPS) examination at JCD Pharmacy College. Principal Anupama Setia welcomed all guests and students. She said four students from the college passed the KAPS exam and will soon be appointed as pharmacists in Australia, enhancing the institution’s reputation. The keynote speaker, Arif Mohammad, an accredited consultant pharmacist from Australia, elaborated on the KAPS exam. He emphasised its assessment of pharmaceutical sciences knowledge and understanding, crucial for practicing safely and effectively in an Australian setting. Rakesh Khan, brand manager at Elite Expertise, also provided students with insights during the seminar.

Social work conference to be held

Sonepat: The 12th Indian Social Work Conference, 2024, will be organised at Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan, from October 24 to 26. The three-day national conference on the theme ‘women empowerment and wellbeing social work response’ will be jointly organised by the Department of Social Work and National Association of Professional Social Workers in India. The chief patron of this national conference and Vice-Chancellor of BPSMV Sudesh released the official poster of the conference. She said hundreds of participants from all over the country will participate in this conference. She congratulated the organising team for this national conference and said the participants will get a chance to meet the subject experts and there will be in-depth discussion on various points related to social work.
