Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Professor Som Nath Sachdeva on Friday released the brochure of a two-day science conclave on 'Amazing world of science and technology' to be held at the KU.
The conclave will be organised on February 4 and 5 in collaboration with Haryana State Council of Science, Innovation and Technology (HSCSIT), Panchkula.
Sachdeva said the science conclave 2025 would open avenues for research innovations and academic collaborations for a healthier future of the nation. Conclave patron, Dean, Academic Affairs KUK, Prof Dinesh Kumar said hosting the fourth science conclave was a matter of pride for Kurukshetra University.
The brochure contains information about the history of Kurukshetra University and the city, registration link, information about the organising committee and the website of the science conclave. Chairperson, department of zoology, Prof Anita Bhatnagar said scientists would share their experience and insights during the conclave.
About 1,000 students from various schools will participate in the science model and science-related poster-making competitions during the conclave.
A participation of around 2,000 attendees, including students (classes IX to XII), teachers and research scholars was expected. The conclave promised to serve as a dynamic platform for scientific learning, awareness and motivation. The upcoming science conclave will offer participants the opportunity to engage with eminent scientists, explore recent advancements and learn about diverse career opportunities in basic sciences.
Deputy Director, Public Relations of Kurukshetra University Dr Jimmy Sharma said this was the fourth conclave to be organised by Kurukshetra University and three previous conclaves were held on 2010, 2011 and 2020.
On the occasion, conclave convener chairperson of physics department Prof Rajesh Kharab, co-convener chairperson of chemistry department Prof GP Dubey, organising secretary Dr Suman Mehadia of physics department, member of advisory committee Prof Anita Bhatnagar, and director of public relations Prof Mahasingh Poonia were present.
