Karnal, January 14
Union Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia on Sunday paid tribute to martyrs of the Third Battle of Panipat and said he felt proud paying homage to them.
Chairing a Shourya Diwas Samaroh at Kala Amb in Panipat district, where the Third Battle of Panipat was fought, he said, “I feel proud as I belong to the family who scarified their lives for the country. Our 16 descendants contributed in the Battle of Panipat against the Afghan army.”
Highlighting the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in ensuring a strong economic growth of the country, he said that under his leadership the country had become a spiritual power in the world as well as economic power.
He exhorted people to come forward to realise the PM’s dreams for the country.
