SDM conducts checking to stop illegal mining in Y’nagar’s Radaur area
The district administration has started a drive to curb illegal mining and transportation of mining minerals illegally in Yamunanagar district.
Under the drive, Radaur SDM Narender Kumar conducted a checking at check-posts and other areas of Radaur subdivision in the district.
According to information, officials of the Mines and Geology Department and Police Department accompanied him during the checking.
During the checking drive, he checked the staff attendance register and register related to information of vehicles at check points.
Besides, he inspected several vehicles to check driving licences of the drivers, registration certificate of vehicles, permits, e-Ravana and documents related to overloading.
Kumar said as per the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta, he conducted a checking at check-posts situated at Triveni Chowk of Radaur and Gumthala village.
“The Mining Department and other departments are fully alert and vigilant to ensure that there is no illegal mining in the district. Besides, transportation of mining minerals is carried out following the rules and regulations with valid permits,” said Kumar.
He said he along with his team members was continuously checking the vehicles, so that no illegal mining activity could take place in any area of the Radaur subdivision.
He further said during checking, a number of vehicles carrying mining minerals were checked and the documents related to transportation of mining minerals were also thoroughly examined.
“I checked vehicles also during the checking drive, but no vehicle was found without a bill,” said Narender Kumar.
He said if anyone was found carrying out illegal mining of sand and soil in the area, strict action would be taken against him.
“Apart from this, if the Mining Department receives any complaint regarding illegal mining of sand and soil, the inspection teams of the Mining Department and the State Enforcement Bureau will take action against the person concerned,” said Kumar.
