Section 163 imposed for peaceful conduct of CDLU exams in Sirsa
In a bid to ensure the smooth conduct of Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU) exams, which are scheduled to be held until January 7, 2025, District Magistrate Shantanu Sharma has invoked Section 163 under the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023.
As per the order, carrying lethal weapons within a 200-metre radius of the examination centres is prohibited. Additionally, all photocopy shops in the vicinity of the centres are required to remain closed and no person is allowed to enter the exam centres without authorisation. However, these restrictions will not apply to police officials and staff members on duty. Legal action will be taken against anyone found violating these orders.
The exams will take place at various locations, including Government National College, Sirsa, Government National College (Girls Wing), Sirsa, CMK National PG Girls College, Sirsa, Shah Satnam Ji Girls College, Sirsa, Shah Satnam Ji Boys College, Sirsa, Government Engineering College at Panniwala Mota, Mata Harki Devi College in Odhan, Women's College in Mandi Dabwali, Dr BR Ambedkar Government College in Mandi Dabwali, Shri Guru Harisingh College in Jiwan Nagar, Government College in Mithi Sureran, Janata Girls College in Ellenabad, Girls College in Ellenabad, CDLSIE in Panniwala Mota, Government College for Girls in Kalanwali, Government College for Girls in Rania, Government College in Ding Mandi, JCD Memorial College on Barnala Road in Sirsa, CDLU Campus in Sirsa, and Chaudhary KR Memorial Degree College for Girls in Jamal.
