Sector 33 residents urge Hisar MC to expedite civic works

Residents of Sector 33 in Hisar town have urged the district authorities to expedite the work on the pending and proposed projects to ensure better civic amenities in the town.
The Residents Welfare Association (RWA) had recently raised issues being faced in the sector with the Municipal Corporation of Hisar (MCH). MCH Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya assured the RWA representatives that works would be expedited.
Pending land ownership transfer hinders work

An RWA representative, Rajpal Nain, said the sector residents had been facing inconvenience due to an incomplete portion of a road connecting Gate Number 3 of the sector to the Sirsa road. “This portion of the land is owned by the Central Sheep Breeding Farm, Hisar. Haryana Shahri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) was required to transfer about Rs 57 crore to the farm for acquiring the land. While the remaining portion is complete, this patch is yet to be constructed due to the pendency of transfer of ownership of the land,” said Nain. Besides, he said they had also demanded their own waterworks for water supply in Sector 33, development of park sites and installation of streetlights. The RWA members said they had also met Urban Local Bodies Minister Kamal Gupta to raise their problems and demand civic amenities in the sector.
A spokesperson for the Municipal Corporation, Hisar, said MC Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya had directed the department concerned to complete the formality for the transfer of the land for the construction of the remaining patch of the road. The Commissioner also held a meeting with Joint Commissioner Preet Pal Singh, HSVP Estate Officer Rajesh Khoth and Executive Engineer Pawan Verma to discuss the issues raised by the RWA. The Commissioner has asked officials to expedite works.
