In the run-up to Haryana Assembly elections, the Gurugram Police have recovered cash, illegal liquor and narcotics amounting to Rs 8.20 crore. District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav said 12 flying squad teams of the district administration and the police had made the seizures. “The seized items include Rs 5.80 crore cash, 28,000 litres of illegal liquor worth Rs 1 crore, drugs and other valuables worth Rs 1.28 crore,” he said.
