Kumari Selja: INLD, BJP used unfair means to get votes in Ellenabad Assembly bypoll
Chandigarh, November 2
Reacting to the results of the Ellenabad Assembly bypoll, Haryana Congress president Kumari Selja today said that the BJP-JJP government and INLD had misused resources to get votes.
“All kinds of inducements were given to the voters. False promises were made. The government machinery was misused,” she said.
Congratulating INLD candidate Abhay Singh Chautala on his win, she hoped that he would live up to the expectations of the people and work for the interests of farmers, labourers, youth and the common man.
Selja said that despite trying all unfair tactics, Haryana Government had to face defeat and it was a clear message that the people had rejected them.
“The people have given a befitting reply to the anti-people policies of the government by defeating the BJP candidate. They have completely rejected the three farm laws. The people are suffering from price rise and unemployment.”
She thanked the Congress leaders and workers for their hard work in the bypoll. — TNS
