Rohtak, December 23

The Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) authorities have finally written to the resident welfare associations (RWAs) of HUDA sectors, seeking their suggestions regarding the recalculation of the enhancement amount to be levied on the residents of sectors.

The draft calculation sheets of the additional price on account of enhanced compensation as per the revised policy, along with the concurrent audit reports, have been sent to the RWA presidents by the HSVP Estate Officers concerned.

A report maintaining that the RWAs were not being involved in the recalculation of the enhancement amount to be levied on the residents of HUDA sectors despite specific instructions to this effect passed by the HSVP chief administrator was recently carried in these columns.

“Communiqués inviting suggestions of the RWAs have been sent by the local HSVP authorities,” said Kadam Singh Ahlawat, a member of the Haryana State HUDA Sectors Confederation.

However, the RWAs have been given very little time to submit their suggestions. For instance, the Estate Officer, HSVP, Rohtak, has written a letter to the RWA of Sector 1 in Rohtak on December 18 and given time till December 23, despite the fact that December 21 and 22 were Saturday and Sunday.

As per the amended policy regarding the recovery of additional price on account of enhanced compensation circulated by the HSVP chief administrator in August, the administrators, estate officers, land acquisition officers and district town planners across the state had been told to consider the representations of the RWAs concerned while recalculating the dues.

The RWAs’ representatives have maintained that the notices sent to the sectors’ residents were unreasonable as the financial burden of common public facilities like residential colonies for government employees, universities, colleges, schools, stadiums, police posts, community centres, electricity substations, commercial sites and government offices had been put on the plot owners.
