Top BJP leaders, including party president JP Nadda, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will hold public meetings in Rohtak today.

While Nadda and Saini are slated to address their supporters in the Kalanaur and Meham Assembly segments, Shekhawat will address meet workers at party’s media centre in Rohtak.

As Rohtak district is a stronghold of senior Congress leader and two-time Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the BJP candidates have pinned their hopes on top party leaders.

“BJP’s national president JP Nadda’s visit to the Kalanaur (Reserved) segment will surely boost local workers and give a fillip to my election campaign,” said Renu Dabla, who’s contesting the poll on saffron party’s ticket.

BJP nominee from Rohtak Manish Grover and Meham candidate Deepak Niwas Hooda also seemed upbeat over the visits of senior leaders in the district.

However, no prominent BJP leader has visited the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi Assembly segment from where Hooda is in the fray.
