The Gurugram police have arrested seven persons for assaulting a bus conductor in the Sector 9A police station area.

The accused were identified as Mohit (18), Kartik (18), Sunny (21), Saurav (18), Akshay (20), Chetan Sharma (20) and Himanshu (18).

According to the complaint filed by the victim, Lalaram, a resident of Nangal Chaudhary in Mahendragarh district, said on December 21 around 4:20pm, he and bus driver Rajesh Kumar had left for Gurugram Railway Station from Millennium City Metro Station when some students of ITI boarded the bus and got into an argument with them over the ticket. Later, the students got off the bus at the last stop.

“After parking the bus, Rajesh and I got off the vehicle. Meanwhile, the students started thrashing me. When people started to gather, they fled the stop after threatening to kill me,” Lalaram said.

Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at the Sector 9 A police station and officials arrested seven of them. A senior police officer said the accused were let off on police bail after they joined the investigation.
