Seven new bus queue shelters to come up in Ladwa block

For the convenience of the commuters of Ladwa block in Kurukshetra, the Department of State Transport will construct seven new bus queue shelters.

Ladwa Subdivisional Magistrate (SDM) Pankaj Setia said the Transport Department had given an approval to build seven new bus queue shelters in Bir Mathana, Mathana, Sonti, Bir Sonti, Niwarsi road, Niwarsi Colony and Bohli road.

The SDM shared the details after holding a meeting with the heads of various departments ahead of the review meeting to be held by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini regarding the ongoing development works being carried out by various departments in the Ladwa Assembly constituency.

Since Ladwa is CM’s Assembly constituency, a number of development works are being carried out by various departments.

Setia said “The construction work of the bus queue shelters will begin soon and the Roadways Department has also deputed an employee to stop the halt of private buses at Babain Bus stand in the night so that the roadways buses can get adequate space.”

The SDM said Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini would hold a meeting on March 30 to review the development works being carried out in the Ladwa Assembly constituency. Heads of all the departments have been directed to send the progress reports related to the works being done by their departments at the earliest.

He also asked Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO) Babain to improve the sanitation at Babain bus stand, the Tehsil and market committee areas. Besides this, the directions were also issued to regularly inspect the vehicles deployed for garbage collection and send the estimate for the cleaning of drains.

The Women and Child Welfare Department has been asked to provide data of the number of Anganwadi centres, being run in government and rented buildings, located in the villages under the subdivision.

The officials of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board (HSAMB) were also directed to ensure that the construction work of 12 roads was completed within the stipulated time-frame. The construction work of other proposed roads should start soon.

The SDM also directed the officials to ensure that the construction work of gymnasiums being built at  Bir Bhartauli, Mehra, and Jogi Majra villages should be completed on time.

The officers of the Education Department, Public Works Department (PWD), Fire and Safety Department, Health Department, Public Health and Engineering Department, and Electricity Department to prepare and send progress reports of their respective works.
