Share memorable pics with daughters, Mahendragarh administration asks residents

Concerned by the poor gender ratio of the district in the first month of this year, the district administration has come up with another campaign, namely “Meri Pyaari Lado”, to make people aware of the adverse effects of gender imbalance on the coming generation.

Move part of new campaign of the administration, ‘Meri Pyaari Laado’, to make people aware of the adverse effects of gender imbalance on society. It was launched in Narnaul on Friday.
Under the campaign, people have been asked to share their pictures and videos along with their daughters with the district administration through a Google link by February 14. Such pictures and videos should depict happy moments like her birthday, first day of school or any achievement. Top 20 best pictures would be selected for honour in a function.
Mahendragarh recorded the lowest gender ratio of 824 across the state in January.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Monika Gupta said these photos and videos could be of a daughter of any age. The campaign was launched at a function in Narnaul town here today wherein representatives of social organisations and officials participated in it.
“Under the campaign, photos and videos can be uploaded by clicking on a Google link by February 14. A page will open. First of all, an email ID has to be filled on the page. After that, the father’s name, daughter’s name, her educational information and complete address will be filled. Then, photos and videos can be uploaded by clicking on the option ‘Add photo/video’. Thereafter, the participant has to enter the mobile number and click on the ‘Submit’ button,” she added.
Gupta said various types of activities were being run in the district to change the mentality of people.
