Shaurya Highway Smashers lift JYTA Tennis League title

The final day of the Jagadhri-Yamunanagar Tennis Association (JYTA) Tennis League 2025 concluded today at the Tejli Sports Complex, Yamunanagar, in an atmosphere charged with excitement and enthusiasm.

The courts buzzed with spectators as players displayed outstanding skills and fierce competition throughout the day.

In a keenly contested final, JSV Oberoi Tigers went head-to-head with Shaurya Highway Smashers. After a gripping encounter, Shaurya Highway Smashers emerged champions with a 2–1 victory.

In the play-off for third place, Yamuna Mavericks overcame Oriental Arsenal 2–1 to claim the third position. DC Parth Gupta graced the closing ceremony as chief guest and presented trophies to the winning and runner-up teams. Adding to the day’s excitement, DC Gupta picked up a racquet himself, playing a few impressive rallies that drew loud applause from the crowd.

“Today’s matches reflected remarkable discipline, energy, and true sportsmanship. Events like these encourage youth participation and contribute to a strong sporting culture in Yamunanagar. My heartfelt congratulations to all winners and participants, and appreciation for the organisers’ efforts,” said DC Parth Gupta.

JYTA president Kapil Gupta described the league’s success as a proud moment for the association. “All teams performed brilliantly. The spectators’ enthusiasm was exceptional, and the dedication of the players truly commendable. We intend to continue hosting high-calibre tournaments that give our players greater exposure,” he said.

Sumeet Gupta, associated with the association, remarked that the thrilling conclusion of the JYTA Tennis League 2025 had left lasting memories among local sports enthusiasts.
