Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand and Mayor Renu Bala Gupta held a meeting of the officials of the Karnal Municipal Corporation (KMC) on Monday evening, directing the officials that negligence in development works would not be tolerated. They asked them to complete all development works within the stipulated time frame to ensure that public facilities were made available as soon as possible.

Considering the upcoming monsoon season, the MLA directed officials to ensure that no area in the city faced waterlogging problems. In case of any complaints regarding waterlogging, action would be taken against the responsible officer.

He further instructed that the progress of works suggested by the councillors should be monitored regularly. Priority must be given to councillors’ works and no delay in their solution would be accepted. All development works must continue uninterrupted and any laxity will be dealt with strictly.

Anand and Gupta directed the officials that all animal dairies located within the city limits should be shifted to designated areas at Pingli village within 30 days. There should be no negligence in the task.

Anand instructed that no encroachment would be tolerated in the city. He directed officials to take strict action against encroachers, including issuing challans and preventing any illegal occupation of the municipal land.

Anand directed the officials to hold grievance redressal camps in the Ram Nagar area, which would be chaired by Mayor Gupta and Commissioner Dr Vaishali Sharma so that problems of residents from across the railway lines could be resolved on the spot.
