Sirsa murder case cracked; youth, friend arrested
A joint team of the Sirsa CIA and Ding Police has cracked the murder of a man near Ding Mor in Sirsa district on the night of May 6. Two accused were arrested in connection with the case on Wednesday. The police said personal enmity linked to an alleged illicit relationship was behind the murder.
According to police sources, the prime accused, Manish alias Kaku, was reportedly upset over his mother’s alleged relationship with the victim, Amrik Singh. Manish allegedly conspired with his friend Harshit alias Ram, a resident of Valmiki Chowk, Hanumangarh, in Rajasthan to carry out the murder.
The incident came to light after a complaint was lodged by Amrik’s brother Paramjeet, a resident of Patli Dabar. He told police that on May 6, his brother had gone to Ding Mor on a motorcycle to buy household items, when he was attacked by some unidentified men. Amrik was stabbed in the neck and he died on the spot.
Following the complaint, the police registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS and launched an investigation. The Sirsa Superintendent of Police ordered the formation of a joint team comprising officers from the CIA and Ding Police to investigate the case.
During the investigation, the police team gathered key leads and tracked down the suspects to the Ding area.
Officials stated that both accused are being thoroughly interrogated and any other individuals found involved in the conspiracy will face strict legal action.
