Health Minister Arti Singh Rao has said the process of finalising a location for the proposed 200-bed Civil Hospital in Rewari is currently underway. She recently visited various potential sites across the district to inspect land suitability and consult with officials.

“In recent months, I personally visited Majra, Bhagwanpur, Nangal Shahbazpur, Gokalgarh, Kalka and Bairiawas villages to evaluate the proposed locations for the hospital. These visits included detailed discussions with senior officials to assess all relevant aspects of the land,” said Arti in a press release issued here on Thursday.

The minister emphasised that the selection process was being carried out with full adherence to the Health Department norms and guidelines. Senior officials from the department were actively involved in evaluating each proposed site, she said.

She reiterated the commitment of both the central and state governments to providing quality healthcare services to the people of Haryana. “Efforts are being made across the state to improve and expand healthcare infrastructure so that people have access to affordable, reliable and high-quality treatment under one roof,” she said.

Arti said the final site for the hospital would be chosen to maximise accessibility and for the benefit maximum number of people. She also underlined key infrastructure requirements — the selected location should have a wide and easily accessible approach road for ambulances and other vehicles, should be well-connected to the nearby national highway and free from obstructions such as railway lines.

According to the Health Minister, the site must also be in close proximity to urban populations to ensure maximum utilisation of hospital services. “All criteria and considerations are being meticulously followed. Once the final location is approved, a report will be submitted to the government, and construction will begin within the stipulated timeline,” she said.

Arti said, “The proposed 200-bed hospital will not only benefit residents of Rewari city, but also serve people across the entire district. This will be a significant step towards strengthening healthcare services in the region.”
