Slogan writing, poster-making events mark Parakram Diwas
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's life is an example of struggle, hard work and sacrifice. His contribution will always be remembered, he is still alive as an inspiration in Indian history.
This was stated by Prof Rajbir Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), while paying floral tribute to Netaji’s portrait at a programme organised by the student welfare office (MDU) on the occasion of Parakram Diwas and Netaji Subhas Chandra Jayanti on Thursday.
He also inaugurated the slogan writing and poster-making competition on Indian Constitution @ 75 on this occasion. Dr Sharanjit Kaur, president of the Rehabilitation Council of India, as a special guest, said Netaji dedicated his entire life for the independence of the country.
Sunit Mukherjee, director, public relations, conducted the stage and threw light on the important aspects of Netaji's life. Prof AS Maan, Dean (academic affairs) welcomed the VC while Dr Pratap Rathi, director youth welfare, coordinated the programme.
The students of the university teaching department (UTD) participated enthusiastically in the slogan writing and poster-making competition. The Vice-Chancellor and other guests encouraged and inspired all participants.
The winners of these competitions will be honoured in the programme to be held on National Voters Day on January 25. The MDU teachers, research scholars, students and participants were present on the occasion.
