Smriti Irani rallies support for BJP candidates, highlights welfare schemes for women
Former Union minister Smriti Irani on Sunday said the BJP was getting tremendous support from the people of Haryana and the party is going to form the government for the third time.
She was in Ladwa Assembly segment to hold a Mahila Sammelan in support of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. “The BJP government has introduced a number of welfare schemes for all sections of society and the Lado Lakshmi Yojana is getting a positive response from our sisters. With new industries and new resolutions, the BJP is determined to form the government in Haryana,” she said. She was accompanied by Chief Minister Nayab Saini’s wife Suman Saini and other women leaders of the BJP.
In her address, she highlighted the BJP’s poll promises, including industrial model townships, jobs, healthcare and education, and urged the women voters to turn up in large numbers on the day of polling and vote for the BJP. Later, she also held a public meeting in support of Shahabad candidate Subhash Kalsana.
In Karnal, she emphasised that several welfare schemes launched by the BJP are directly benefitting women, helping them to lead a more empowered life. She was speaking at a conference organised by the BJP Mahila Morcha here.
She appealed to the voters to vote for BJP candidate Jagmohan Anand from Karnal Assembly segment and shared details of the welfare schemes being implemented for women under the BJP government.
