Software engineer found dead, wife, brother-in-law booked
A 35-year-old software engineer, Navdeep Singh, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his home in Ashok Vihar Phase-2.
His wife, Seema, and their three-year-old daughter were missing when the body was discovered. An FIR for murder has been filed against Seema and her brother at the Sector 5 police station.
Navdeep, originally from Chandan Nagar village in Hisar, was employed at a private company in the DLF area. His father, Krishan Kumar, a sub-inspector in the Haryana Police, reported that attempts to contact Navdeep on Tuesday were unsuccessful. Concerned, he asked a neighbour to check the house, where the body was found lying on the floor with a bedsheet tied around his neck.
Police suspect the death may have been a result of strangulation after a possible altercation. Neighbours reported frequent arguments between Navdeep and his wife. The family has expressed suspicion that Seema and her brother were involved in the murder.
Inspector Sukhbir, SHO of Sector 5 police station, confirmed that the FIR has been filed, and investigations are ongoing.
