Sonepat centre recognised as Seed Funding Incubator

In a major boost for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators in Haryana, AIC-IIT Delhi Sonepat Innovation Foundation has been officially recognised as a Seed Funding Incubator under the Government of India’s Start-up India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS).

This milestone not only highlights the institution’s role in offering mentorship, guidance and technical support to start-ups but also positions it to provide crucial financial assistance to early-stage ventures.

Alok Pandey, CEO, AIC-IIT Delhi, said, under SISFS, technology-based start-ups could avail funding support of up to Rs 50 lakhs.

The scheme aims to support critical early-stage activities such as prototype development, market entry, MVP creation and customer traction.

The focus was on innovations in manufacturing, AI/ML, IoT, Agritech, Textiles, MedTech, Automotive, Robotics, Clean Energy, Biotech and other emerging sectors, he added.

AIC-IIT Delhi has invited applications for the first round of funding under the scheme. Innovators and start-ups from Haryana and neighbouring states were encouraged to seize the opportunity and turn their ideas into successful ventures, he said.

Pandey added, “Our mission is to identify and support innovation and tech-driven start-ups from across India. Through SISFS, we are committed to providing both financial and technical backing to help them realise their entrepreneurial dreams.”

Dr Nikhil Agarwal, MD, FITT and Director, AIC-IIT Delhi, said “This recognition is a testament to AIC-IIT Delhi’s impactful policies, dedicated team efforts and strong alignment with Government of India initiatives. We encourage the innovators of Haryana, especially the youth, to make the most of this opportunity and rise to new heights.”
