Sonepat, August 11
The Kundli police today produced the four accused, who allegedly gangraped two minor sisters in front of their mother at a village in Kundli area, in the court. The court has sent them to a five-day police remand.
The incident occurred on the night of August 6. After raping the girls, the accused poured a poisonous substance in their mouth forcibly. The victims’ mother admitted the girls in a hospital in Narela of Delhi. Both girls died during treatment.
After the postmortem, it was revealed that the girls were gangraped and died of consuming some poisonous substance and not by snake bite.
Kundli SHO Ravi Kumar said the mother did not tell the police the truth as the accused had threatened to kill her two sons.
After counselling, she was ready to give a statement and a case was registered. All four accused — Arun, Phool Chand and Dukhan Pandit of Darbhanga district of Bihar and Ram Suhag of Samastipur in Bihar — were arrested, the SHO said.
