Sonepat, July 21
A park in the Sonepat industrial area will be rejuvenated at a cost of Rs 46 lakh. The park will have facilities of an open gym, walking track, swings for children and lights.
Mayor Nikhil Madaan along with councillor Atul Jain of Ward 15 inaugurated the beautification project on Saturday.
Madaan said at the General House meeting, Rs 46 lakh was allocated for the rejuvenation of the park in the Industrial area. Jain had produced the agenda in the House, which was passed unanimously.
Following this, a tender was allotted and now the work of beautifying the park had started.
The Mayor further said under the beautification project, the park walls and the main gate would be repaired, walking track for the morning walkers developed, installation of an open gym, swings for children installed and plantation done.
Jain said it was the long-pending demand of the residents. He also demanded that a high-mast light be installed in the park.
Madaan directed all officials and the contractor to complete the beautification work of the park at the earliest and also directed that the quality of the work should be good.
