The Finance and Contract Committee of the Municipal Corporation (MC) on Wednesday passed the development works worth Rs 9 crore to be carried out in various wards of the civic body.
Mayor Nikhil Madaan chaired the committee meeting while MC Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena along with Joint Commissioner Renuka Singh and other officials were also present.
Madaan warned the officials that any negligence in development works would not be accepted and also directed the officials to complete the pending works at the earliest.
Madaan said interlocking tiles would be laid in the streets of Wards 1, 4, 5, 14 and 18. He further said interlocking tiles worth Rs 1.35 croreswould be laid on Revenue Road along with Drain Number 6 in Ward 5 . Similarly in Ward 1, the pond near Sunder Sanwri would be rejuvenated and beautified. The green belt, road and other works near CIPET in Murthal would be developed. As much as Rs 58.39 lakh would be spent on the maintenance of the CCTV cameras installed in the city and Rs 95 lakh on the installation and maintenance of street lights.
