Sonepat, July 27

A 30-year-old professor of Jindal Global Law University in the district was admitted to a hospital here on Tuesday after he allegedly showed monkeypox symptoms, but the test reports received this evening showed it wasn’t a case of monkeypox.

Civil Surgeon Dr Jai Kishor, however, said he would be kept in isolation at his home as a precautionary measure.

He said the patient had symptoms like that of monkeypox. He had returned from Kerala by flight 10 days ago. He came to the hospital after developing rashes on the body. He was kept in the isolation ward of the hospital and later asked to isolate at his house, he added.
