Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Harvinder Kalyan on Saturday sent his one month's salary to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to help the families affected by floods in the state. He said that the government is taking all steps for relief and rescue at its level, but this is the time for every section of society, along with the government, to stand with the needy.
He praised Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for providing assistance of Rs 5 crore each to Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir, calling it a sign of his sensitivity, foresight and commitment towards public service.

He said that only through collective efforts during the time of disaster could real relief and support be provided to the affected families.
