Two youths were killed after a speeding vehicle hit them on a link road in the district last night. The police have registered a case and launched searches to trace the driver.

According to police sources, the accident took place around 8 pm on the Batta- Kamravali road on Tuesday. The victims, identified as Armaan and Ajay, both residents of Nangla Khanpur village, were on standing on the roadside when a speeding van, which was came from behind, hit them. The driver then fled the spot. The victims succumbed to their injuries on the way to hospital. The police have registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the unidentified driver.
