He declared that any laxity in the distribution of ration would not be tolerated.

Chairing a meeting of the district grievances redressal committee in Sonepat on Friday, the minister addressed 23 complaints, resolving 18 on the spot. The remaining five complaints were assigned to officers with instructions for resolution by the next meeting.

He instructed the District Food Supplies Controller (DFSC) to ensure no future complaints regarding ration distribution arise, warning that strict action would be taken against those found negligent.

During the meeting, a complaint was raised concerning companies in the Bahalgarh area dumping untreated effluent into the ground instead of utilising water treatment plants, thereby contaminating groundwater. In response, the minister ordered the formation of a committee led by the SDM to take immediate action against non-compliant companies. “If any treatment plant is not found working, action would be taken against the company,” he said.

Another complaint from Vinod Kumar of Jaji village alleged medical negligence leading to his wife’s death; Gautam directed a re-investigation under the supervision of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC).
