Sqn Ldr Sindhu will live on in our memories: CM
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday said martyred Squadron Leader Lokendra Singh Sindhu will always live on in our memories.
He was visiting Squadron Leader Sindhu’s residence in Dev Colony here, where the CM offered floral tributes before his portrait, and expressed his deep condolences to the bereaved family.
“Lokendra Singh Sindhu was a brave and dedicated officer of the Air Force, who served the nation with utmost devotion. I pray to God for peace to the departed soul, and strength to the grieving family to bear this irreparable loss,” said the CM.
Earlier, the CM visited the residence of senior advocate Harbans Lal Malik, who recently passed away after prolonged illness.
He paid floral tributes before his portrait, and conveyed heartfelt condolences to his family.
Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda, former MP General DP Vats, former minister Manish Kumar Grover, former Mayor Manmohan Goyal and BJP leaders Satish Nandal, Ajay Bansal and Ranbir Dhaka were among those present at the event.
Squadron Leader Lokendra Singh Sindhu (33) was one of two Air Force pilots who lost their lives in a Jaguar aircraft crash near Churu, Rajasthan, during a routine training mission on Wednesday.
He was a native of Kheri Sadh village here. His family currently resides at Dev Colony in Rohtak city. His father, Joginder Singh Sindu, is retired Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Superintendent. His mortal remains were consigned to flames in Rohtak on Thursday with full military honours.
