Start Ambala Cantt civil enclave ops, Vij urges Aviation Minister

Cabinet Minister Anil Vij today met Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu in Delhi and requested him to get the operations of civil enclave in Ambala Cantonment begin at the earliest. The civil enclave (domestic airport) project was approved under the Udan scheme by the Centre.

As per the information, the civil enclave is ready for operations but some security equipment are to be installed and Vij requested the Civil Aviation Minister to get the equipment installed at the earliest.

He said following his request, the Union Minister directed the officials to get the equipment installed. Vij invited him to inaugurate the civil enclave.

“The civil enclave in Ambala Cantonment is ready, but some security equipment are to installed following which I met the Union Minster. He has promised that all formalities would be completed soon. I am hopeful that the operations will begin soon," Vij said.
