The Haryana Government is going to launch a chatbox for answering queries related to services provided by the Revenue Department. It will be the first time artificial intelligence will be used.
Sources said that a firm had been hired for this purpose and a WhatsApp number would be launched accordingly, where users can interact for services and queries.
Following the pilot launch of paperless deed registration in Naraingarh tehsil in August, the state government plans to roll it out across the state from Monday.
CM Nayab Singh Saini is going to start it from a programme at Babain.
Under the system, property buyers and sellers will be able to schedule appointments online at their convenience. It will reduce the public interface or physical appearance.
Earlier, the paper scrutiny took place on the day of appointment, causing a 30 per cent failure in the deed registration due to objections or a lack of documents, says a source in the Revenue Department.
Now, with the template-based application module, the application is pushed for verification to the tehsil office concerned. After receiving approval on the same portal, the applicant can complete the payment process and book an appointment slot. The applicant only needs to appear for a photograph and provide his/her signature/biometrics on the day of the appointment, provided their approved application is already online.
In the future, the need to appear personally would also not be required, said an official of the Revenue Department.
The paperless system is expected to reduce waiting time, eliminate queues and minimise procedural inefficiencies, delivering a more professional and seamless experience to the public. All revenue records will be updated in real time, and any existing disputes, encumbrances, or pending loans on a property will be automatically flagged during the registration process, enabling informed decision-making by buyers and sellers alike, said an official.
Applicants will also be provided with a clear checklist of required documents, ensuring accuracy and reducing rejections due to incomplete submissions.
The Revenue Department is also launching an online service for land demarcation.
