Foundation stone of development works worth Rs 42.54 lakh were laid in Ward-19 of Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar - Jagadhri (MCYJ). Several development works, including construction of streets and drains, will be done with this amount.
The stones were laid by Mayor Suman Bahamani along with BJP leader Nepal Rana, son of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana.
According to the information available, several streets will be constructed in Jawahar Nagar at a cost of Rs 24.97 lakh. The work of laying a 200mm diameter pipeline will be done in Mandebari village at a cost of Rs 17.57 lakh.
The Mayor said drains would be also be constructed at Jawahar Nagar. “This will provide relief to residents from muddy streets, making walking easier. The laying of pipelines in Mandebari village will address the problem of water drainage,” said Bahamani. She said that development works were underway in every authorised colony.
“Development works are underway to provide streets, drains and other basic amenities in the recently regularised colonies at a cost of crores of rupees. The government has no shortage of funds for development projects. Works are being carried out equally in every ward,” said the Mayor.
She said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana was progressing rapidly and development works were being carried out without discrimination in every region of the state.
BJP leader Nepal Rana said that the goal of the state government was to strengthen basic facilities in every village and city. He said that every person should help the government in the cleanliness drive being organised in every city of the state.
