BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli on Thursday laid the foundation stone of a bird tower, a 60-ft long residential tower for the birds, at the BJP office after performing ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ there. MLA Nikhil Madaan, Mayor Rajiv Jain, BJP’s district secretary Tarun Devidas and Neeraj Kumar, district media cell in-charge Dinesh Atri and others were present during the bhoomi pujan programme.
Badoli said CM Nayab Singh Saini had also laid the foundation stone for the construction of a bird tower at the Mata Mansa Devi Gaushala at Panchkula in 2024. Bird towers have also been set up in Gurugram. District media incharge Dinesh Atri said the bird tower would be constructed and 720 bird houses would be made in which around 3,500 birds such as parrots, mainas, sparrows, pigeon etc could live easily.
The tower has been divided into six units and each unit would be of different colour. This would also help in attracting the birds. The birds can easily live in the tower in all weathers as would not be impacted by it, he said.
