Stones of critical care unit at KCGMC, 100-bed hospital in Assandh laid

A parallel programme was also organised at the Karnal Mini-Secretariat, where Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand, Assandh MLA Yogender Rana, along with Mayor Renu Bala Gupta laid the foundation stones symbolically of two major healthcare projects worth nearly Rs 100 crore.
Karnal MLA Anand symbolically laid the foundation stone of a 50-bed critical care unit at Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College (KCGMC), Karnal. The project, costing around Rs 20.74 crore, will be equipped with modern healthcare facilities to provide advanced treatment to patients. Anand thanked Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, saying, “This critical care facility is a major gift for the people of Karnal and reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare services.”
Similarly, MLA Yogendra Rana symbolically laid the foundation stone of a 100-bed hospital at Assandh, to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 76.20 crore. He said the new hospital would benefit residents of Assandh, which is centrally located about 45 km from Karnal, Kaithal, Jind, and Panipat. “This project will ensure quality healthcare access for thousands of people in the Assandh constituency,” Rana said while expressing gratitude to Amit Shah and CM Nayab Singh Saini on behalf of the residents.
