THERE are abundant street-cleaning trucks in the city, however, these do not operate during the day. The inefficiency of these trucks is exposed when these are not able to clean the roads properly. Non-functional high-mast lights in Karnal

THE high-mast lights installed at Kanhaiya city crossing on the road leading from the Ghogripur railway overbridge towards Sir Chhotu Ram Namaste Chowk have been defunct for months.

People passing through this crossing during the evening and night fear accidents and robbery due to the darkness. Despite repeated requests, these lights have not been repaired, so far. The authorities concerned must get these repaired immediately. Shakti singh, Karnal
