  • He said patrolling by the police, especially in border areas along Uttar Pradesh would be increased.

He said after assuming the charge, he had carried out surprise inspections of the police stations in the city and directed all station house officers (SHOs) were given strict instructions to behave properly with complainants and hear their complaints patiently. He said a special team had been formed to check the status of complaints and feedback would be taken on these.

“The district police is committed to initiating strict action against the people involved in illegal activities,” the SP said.

On traffic management, the SP said traffic was a big problem in the city and it was due to encroachment, which he realised while taking a round of the city. The police would launch a campaign to remove encroachments along with the department concerned. Vehicles parked on service lanes would also be removed, he said.

The SP said the police were keeping tabs on gangsters and their associates and special directions had been given to CIA teams to act against them. He appealed to the people to give necessary information to the police on DIAL 112. Mobile numbers of all police officers are available on the police website, he said.

Patrolling by the police, especially in border areas along Uttar Pradesh would be increased, the SP said.

“Preparations have been made for the smooth conduct of the Assembly Elections. For this, the companies of Central Security Force and Haryana Police will reach Panipat soon,” said the SP.
