Student dies by suicide in Haryana’s Faridabad
A first year BSc Life Science student at JC Bose University of Science and Technology, Faridabad, died by suicide on Thursday by hanging himself from a fan on the sixth floor of the Deendayal Upadhyaya Wing of the university.
According to the police, a suicide note has been found from the deceased’s pocket. In this note, he has blamed himself for his actions. He has also praised his parents.
This incident comes just 18 days after Vanshika, a final year B Tech student, also took her life by hanging herself in the university hostel.
The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Daksh, a resident of SGM Nagar, Faridabad, and originally from Hisar. Daksh climbed to the sixth floor of the Deendayal Upadhyay Wing at 3:00 pm and took his life. Workers present there were the first to spot him and informed the university management.
After getting the information, a police team reached the spot and retrieved the body. Daksh’s father, Vinod Kumar Mor, was informed and called to the spot. The body was subsequently sent to the mortuary for post-mortem examination.
“A suicide note has been found, clearly indicating that no one is responsible for Daksh’s death. He had not been attending college for the last one week, but on Thursday, he came to the campus and suddenly took this step,” said Faridabad Police spokesperson Yashpal.
