Student jumps from 8th floor of Ashoka University hostel, dies

A 20-year-old student reportedly died after jumping from the 8th floor of the Ashoka University hostel on Friday night, officials said.

The deceased, identified as Dhruv Jyoti Sahu of Bangalore, was a second-year BA student.

In another incident, a student was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a tea stall near the main gate of Ashoka University during the early hours of Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Vighnesh Guda Sahu of Bangalore. After receiving information, a police team arrived at the scene and began an investigation.

The bodies of the deceased were sent to the civil hospital for postmortem, and their families were informed, said officials.
