Students must innovate to move forward in research: Governor

Dattatreya said that the state got the opportunity to organise the five-day long RBVK after 30 long years. The exhibition is held every year from December 26 to December 31 in any one of the states.

This programme provided not only a platform to showcase new scientific projects but also served as a symbol of national unity for the students, he said.

“Students coming from various corners of the country share their thoughts and experiences with each other. The students share their ideas about the diverse traditions, rich cultures, lifestyle, dialect and languages,” he said.

The Governor appealed the children that keeping aside caste and religion, there should be only one feeling in the minds of the children that we all are Indians.

Paying tribute to the sacrifice of Baba Jorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, two sons of Shri Guru Govind Singh, the Governor said we should take inspiration from the lives of such brave children.

Governor further stated that children should always have a sense of curiosity, concentration and innovation. "The curiosity of children to know more about things around them keeps increasing continuously," he said.

The children should be good listeners and they should listen and understand everything carefully, the Governor maintained.

Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said at the inaugural programme that officials told him that over 400 science students from across the country would participate in the programme. Over 10,000 students from Class VIII to XII are expected to visit the exhibition every day.

Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda visited the exhibition in which students from 29 states have installed 185 stalls.

MLA Rai Krishna Gahalawat, MLA Sonepat Nikhil Madaan, Sports University Vice Chancellor Ashok Kumar; Pankaj Aggarwal, Commissioner and Secretary, School Education; Jitender Kumar, Director Secondary Education; NCERT Director Dr Dinesh Prashad and DC Manoj Kumar along with other officers present during the programme.
