Super 100 level-1: 2,218 students appear for exam in Sirsa district
The Education Department successfully conducted the Super-100 level-1 exam for the 2025-27 batch across eight examination centres in the district. A total of 2,895 students had registered for the exam, and 2,218 students participated in the exam, held on Wednesday.
Class X students were eligible for the exam, which featured a 200-mark mathematics-based question paper with 50 questions, and included negative marking. Dr Mukesh Kumar, District Science Expert, was appointed as the nodal officer for ensuring the smooth conduct of the exam. Students who pass the level-1 exam would be invited to the Super-100 campus in Kurukshetra for a three-day level-2 workshop.
The final selection for the programme will be based on the performance at the workshop, and 400 meritorious students from across the state will be chosen for the initiative.
The registration for the Super-100 exam began on December 20 and concluded on January 28. Two examination centres were set up in Nathusari Chopta and one each in Dabwali, Rania, Ellenabad, Odhan and Baragudha.
The exam was held under strict monitoring by anti-cheating squads to maintain fairness. Dr Kumar said the programme was designed to provide free, quality preparation for competitive exams like IIT-JEE and NEET.
The exam was conducted peacefully at various centres, he added. The number of students participating at each centre varied, with a significant turnout at Sirsa’s Government Model Culture Senior Secondary School, where 531 out of 675 students appeared for the exam, he noted. Results of level-1 would be announced on March 15, he said.
