Suspect in BSP leader’s murder killed in police encounter

The Special Task Force (STF) Haryana and the Ambala police jointly encountered the main shooter involved in the killing of BSP leader Harbilas Rajjumajra. The suspect, identified as Sagar, a resident of Burj village in Ambala, was killed in a cross-firing incident in Mullana.

According to officials, the joint team cornered Sagar near a college in Mullana, leading to an exchange of fire. Two policemen suffered injuries when bullets hit their bulletproof jackets. Sagar’s body has been sent for the postmortem examination to Civil Hospital Ambala.

A senior police official stated that the police had intended to arrest Sagar, but he opened fire, prompting the police to retaliate. Another accomplice, Rohit, was arrested earlier in the day.
