SVSU kicks off Nepunya-2025 with fervour

Students enthral audience with dance, music, acting, painting, oratory and culinary skills

The vibrant annual cultural festival Nepunya-2025 began with great enthusiasm at Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU), Palwal, on Tuesday. Students showcased talent across a wide spectrum of activities, ranging from dance, music, acting, painting and public speaking to culinary arts. Alongside artistic performances, participants demonstrated impressive technical and skill-based prowess in events such as Robo Race, App Development and Best Out of Waste.

Students from Shri Vishwakarma Skill University and its affiliated colleges delivered outstanding performances in solo dance, Haryanvi dance, poetry recitation, nukkad natak, comedy skits, face painting, mehendi competition, speech contests and many more categories. The entire campus was immersed in the vibrant colours of art and culture.

Female students dazzled in traditional \Idaman \Iattire, while male students looked striking in dhotis, proudly celebrating Haryana’s rich cultural heritage through their powerful presentations.

The grand celebrations will continue on Wednesday with a much-anticipated ramp walk and group dance performances as part of the university’s 7th Foundation Day programme.

Minister for Public Health Engineering, Ranbir Gangwa, will grace the occasion as the chief guest, while Minister for Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, Gaurav Gautam, will preside over the function.

Registrar Prof Jyoti Rana, while encouraging the participants, emphasised that winning awards is valuable, but the act of participation itself holds immense significance. She inspired students to continually refine their artistic and creative abilities.

Dean Academic Affairs Prof Vikram Singh, Dean of Student Welfare Prof Kulwant Singh, Chairman of Green Technology Dr Sunil Garg, Director of Youth Welfare Anil Kaushik, and Controller of Examinations Prof Suresh Kumar witnessed the performances and warmly applauded the students’ efforts.
